Matt Racunas focuses his practice in the areas of municipal law, civil litigation, and condominium and homeowners’ association law.  In the area of municipal law, his practice involves the representation of municipal entities as solicitor, labor counsel, and special counsel.  In that regard, he advises School Districts, Boroughs, Townships, and Municipal Authorities concerning zoning issues, collective bargaining agreements, public contract bidding, construction projects, Sunshine Act disputes, Right-to-Know Act issues and many other areas of public sector law.   Mr. Racunas also has substantial arbitration and trial experience, representing both plaintiffs and defendants in all types of cases from personal injury claims to complex commercial litigation matters.  In fact, in 2013, Mr. Racunas obtained a jury verdict in excess of $28 million dollars in a wrongful death case filed on behalf of several clients who were injured and killed by a drunk driver.  The verdict is one of the largest ever awarded in the history of Allegheny County. Mr. Racunas has also successfully argued many appeals before the Commonwealth Court of Pennsylvania, the Pennsylvania Superior Court, the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania and the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit.   

Amber Racunas concentrates her practice in the area of municipal law and criminal and civil litigation.  A native of the Mon Valley, Mrs. Racunas graduated from the Elizabeth Forward High School and cum laude from Duquesne University.  Upon graduation, she immediately enrolled in the Duquesne University School of Law.  After being admitted to the bar, Mrs. Racunas was employed as an Assistant District Attorney for the Allegheny County District Attorney's Office where she acquired extensive knowledge of courtroom practice and procedure.  During her career,  she prosecuted hundreds of cases involving major crimes, including driving under the influence, narcotics, assault, and domestic violence.

At present, Mrs. Racunas concentrates her practice in the criminal law sector representing individuals charged with criminal offenses, including driving under the influence, retail theft, and assault.  Throughout her representation, Mrs. Racunas directs her attention to the individual needs of each client, understanding the emotional impact of being charged with a criminal offense.  Mrs. Racunas is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania and the United States District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania.  

Mrs. Racunas continues to reside in her hometown of Elizabeth with her husband and their four children, Nathan, Lily, Olivia, and Adelyn.
